Product Description:
The GON40-L lower goniometer stage rotates the object around an axis that is not obstructed by the platform itself and is centered on the top of the platform. The GON series goniometer rotary stages use actuator-driven, spring-loaded precision dovetail slides to reduce backlash commonly found in similar worm gear-driven stages. The spring-loaded design has the added advantage of interchangeable actuators, allowing you to select adjustment sensitivity from a variety of actuators such as precision adjustment screws, differential micrometers or electric actuators. GON series stages of the same size can be used individually or stacked. In a stacked configuration, the axes of rotation will intersect each other for orthogonal motion around a common point in space. The GON40-L goniometer stage has a ±5° range of rotational motion when used with an actuator with 13 mm travel. The motion of the goniometer stage can be securely locked using the hex screws on the side of the stage.
