The desktop optical power meter is a high-precision, wide-range optical power detection equipment. This power meter is controlled by an intelligent microprocessor and has the function of automatic range switching. The PIN tube of the photodetector is processed in a piecewise linear manner within the entire range, eliminating the need for the PIN tube to face the light under the same wavelength and different optical power. The error caused by the nonlinear response of the power greatly improves the accuracy and reliability of equipment detection.


The optical power meter adopts new data acquisition technology, which has a larger signal-to-noise ratio and a larger dynamic range. When the signal is small, the internal circuit adopts small resistance and shielding technology, so it has higher sensitivity, and the power display range is +5~-75.


The optical power meter is used to measure the absolute optical power or the relative loss of optical power through a section of optical fiber. In optical fiber measurement, the optical power meter is a heavy-duty commonly used meter. By measuring the absolute power of the transmitter or optical network, an optical power meter can evaluate the performance of the optical device. Using an optical power meter in combination with a stable light source can measure connection loss, check continuity, and help evaluate the transmission quality of optical fiber links.
