The Agilent modular design of optical switch family features 1x1, 2x2 and 1x4 matrix in both SMF and MMF with low insertion loss and highly repeatable switch routing in <10 ms switching time. The optical switch module allows you to fully automate your signal routing during tests. By operating the switch you can change the optical routes during a test without having to disconnect and reconnect fibers, this can greatly reduce the test duration and helps to reduce contamination of fibers and connectors. The N4906B Serial BERT is a general-purpose bit error ratio tester designed for testing high-speed digital communication components and systems. It is ideal for cost-effective manufacturing and telecom device testing. The N4906B is offered in a 3.6 Gb/s (option 003) and a 12.5 Gb/s (option 012) version. Both consist of a pattern generator and error detector with excellent price/performance ratio. The 12.5 Gb/s error detector can be configured with CDR (option 102) to test clock less interfaces and with true differential inputs (option 101) to test LVDS and other differential interfaces. The 3.6 Gb/s analyzer is equipped with true differential inputs. With an absolute wavelength accuracy of ±0.2 ppm and ±0.15 ppm differential accuracy, the new Keysight 86122C Multi-Wavelength Meter belongs in the top class of wavelength meters available for optical communication testing. Its wavelength range of 1270 to 1650 nm covers all fiber-to-the-home, metro and long-haul transmission systems. The instrument can measure the spectra of up to 1,000 laser lines at once, which is more than sufficient for fully populated dense-wavelength-division multiplexed systems (DWDM). The new 86122C is an updated version of the proven 86122A and 86122B. The 8162xB family of optical power heads provide accurate power measurements with a large area detector in a remote head for flexible positioning. Functionality includes averaging time settings from 100 µs to 10 s, automatic power ranging, monitoring of minimum and maximum values and logging up to 20k samples. Fiber adapters are available for common connector types including MT ribbon fiber connectors and bare fiber clamps. The D-shaped adapter type are held magnetically for quick adapter change.
